KhanGate reminds me of the proverb of the Three Wise Monkeys, hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil, or something similar. Read the rest of the article (link below) by Emma Riley and see if you can figure out who plays what role.
Khan says he mentioned his concerns about the cost of the plant upgrades to his interviewers — city manager Chris Murray, planning and economic development manager Tim McCabe and human resources director Helen Hale Tomasik — when asked if he had any ideas about improving the department.
Bonus question: Why is Murrays newly minted spin doctor Mike Kirkopoulos saying Murray was unaware of Khan’s concerns? Furthermore, I thought only the Mayor and legal council Mr. Barkwell were the ones authorized to speak to the issue in public?
Murray, who was out of town today, was not available to comment. However, city spokesperson Mike Kirkopoulos confirmed Khan interviewed for the position with Murray, McCabe and Hale Tomasik.
As Mr. Murray has previously stated, at no point in time did Mr. Khan ever discuss or bring to his attention any allegation of inappropriate behaviour. Mr. Murray has previously stated that had Mr. Khan done so, he would have taken immediate action.

there is an option. in the City interview process, interviewers are provided questionnaire and they ask questions from that and record the answers provided in there. now if khan claims that he mentioned his sewage plant concerns during the interview then there are chances that it may be recorded on the questionnaire. why not Spectator get copies of the questionnaire through FOI
Sounds like a great idea, but my gut feeling tells me that was never done and no record will be found.
It only costs five dollars to file an F.O.I. request, anyone could do it, thanks for the tip.
