When you need the Police all you have to do is pick up the phone, I never heard of having to write a letter asking for their help, especially if the law was broken. Surreal.
"At this point I can tell you nothing more than what I said (at council). Because at this point, I've been instructed to turn this into a police investigation," Barkwell said. "So I'm not going to talk about it anymore because it's now a police investigation matter."
The police haven't yet received the city's request to investigate the issue, said media officer Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings.
"If it is determined that this is a police matter, and it's criminal, then definitely we'll investigate," she said. "Until we've received documents from their lawyers, we're on hold."
