After reading Andrew Dreschel's column on the free lunch councillors get, l'm left reflecting on what I did for lunch when I was working. It was called a "bag lunch" that I made fresh every day. The amount might seem trivial, but savings have to be found for council to deliver a 1.8 per cent property tax increase. Kudos to my Councillor Donna Skelly for pointing out the obvious, there is no free lunch, everything has a cost.
