So mayoralty hopeful Brian McHattie wants to eliminate red-tape for small businesses who want to set up shop in Hamilton. Is this the same McHattie who fought tirelessly to stop drive-through businesses from opening up across the city, and fought tooth and nail for a "rain tax" to be charged on any business with a parking lot, based on volume of rain? Can you imagine the bills these small and large businesses would face after this summer's drenching and area flooding? Hamilton needs a mayor who can lower property taxes, instead of trying to cash in on the weather or refusing to drive on the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
