After reading about the graffiti and vandalism rampage in the North End, I wonder why the principle of restorative justice isn't being applied to the sentencing of the 130 and counting vandals charged and convicted due to the vigilance of Hamilton police.

These convicted vandals should be made to clean up the public and private surfaces they defaced and abused, instead of the tax-weary residents and businesses that are the life blood of this community.
